My 2009 shortlist

I can summarize this year in terms of popular music in two parts, my winter/spring phase and my summer/autumn phase.

The snow/flower phase summed up to one title: "Miss Chiff & Annie Ominous" a 2008 release recorded and performed by Purricane aka STACIAN. The burning sun/orange but dark forests phase is still ongoing and boils down to one cathartic band: KAP BAMBINO a band from Bordeaux, France and they have released "Blacklist" album this year. Just to prove how my lists are worthless, in 2008 Kap Bambino had released an amazing single from their previous work "Zero Life Night Vision" called "Save" and I didn't include the song on my 2008 list simply because I did not know them at all, also I did not include the fantastic white denim's "Shake Shake Shake" video... shame on me! Nevermind, through the vacant spaces I could still hear some other things this year, such as Grizzly Bear and Yeah Yeah Yeahs new albums or even "Merriweather Post Pavilion" from Animal Collective, cool and shiny but ...let them be...let them be! ...so my choices for best Album, best original song and best music video of the year are...
